Hi All,
Greetings for the day 🙂 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL 🙂
Today again update on new feature of my favorite cloud SAAS service – Microsoft 365
New feature – Microsoft Editor Spellcheck and Grammar in SharePoint Pages
Background :
- Microsoft has published news – Microsoft will add the Microsoft Editor service to SharePoint Pages and News and enabling their spellcheck and grammar capabilities
- But then timeline for this feature is changed and got delayed
Updated Timelines :
- Targeted Release: (select users and entire org) will begin rolling out in late December and expect to complete rollout late February (previously mid-January)
- Standard: will begin rolling out in mid-January and expect to complete rollout late January. This feature should be already in our tenant now 🙂
Feature details :
- This feature / update will add the Microsoft Editor service to SharePoint Pages and News and enabling their spellcheck and grammar capabilities
- This will allow proofreading to take place in SharePoint without relying on the Editor browser extension
- Example in below news, SharePoint keyword is written as – “sharepoint“
- If we left click on “sharepoint” keyword as shown in below fig, we will get the list of suggested words with correct word as shown in below fig – “SharePoint“
- Grammar suggestion
- As in below image we have grammar mistake for “spell checking” it should be “spell-checking”
