Microsoft announced new version CSOM (Client Side Object Model) for SharePoint Online and Project Online – Jan 2018

Hi All,

On Jan 26, Microsoft announced new version CSOM (Client Side Object Model) for SharePoint Online and Project Online. We will get latest version of CSOM package for SharePoint Online from the NuGet gallery having search term “Microsoft.SharePointOnline.CSOM”.

The latest version of CSOM package is v16.1.7317.1200 as

Note: Here, only NuGet version is changed but assembly version remains same – 16.1.0.0

This NuGet package is only for SharePoint Online and can not use as it is for SharePoint on-premises environment.

Important features in this release are new PowerShell cmdlets like Set-SPOSiteGroup, Set-SPOSiteScript, Set-SPOMultiGeoCompanyAllowedDataLocation, Remove-SPOMultiGeoCompanyAllowedDataLocation, Get-SPOMultiGeoCompanyAllowedDataLocation  etc.

Also one key property is added to user profile (Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.UserProfiles) is IsDefaultDocumentLibraryBlocked.
